Take a minute to meet one of our designers, Jessie. She has been working with flowers for over 50 years and was blessed with natural talent. She started making arrangements at the age of 16 using the flowers from her mother's garden. Neighbors and friends soon started asking her to make bouquets for them and so she started working at at a local florist here in Tallahassee after school. She would walk from Leon to work and says she remembers her first real design work was making boutonnières for all the ministers at First Baptist Church. They were featured on TV and she was so proud to see her work on the air! After high school she went to New Orleans School of Floral Design before moving back to Tallahassee and eventually opening her own shop, Jessie's at Carriage Gate. Each piece has been carefully picked and added to our charming collection by our owner, Annette McGuffey. It was a cloudy day and warm, however this shoot was so much fun.  Inga  did a great job. Inga is my oldest daughter who is an amazing photographer here in Tallahassee and Atlanta Ga and everywhere between.   We both love what we do and it shows. I have always loved the romantic charm of vintage and through years of collecting have some pretty stunning items. These have been a great addition to our beautiful flowers,  We now have over 400 vintage china dinner plates and our collect. The brides colors were grey and yellow. Flowers, as peonies, ranuculus and football mums were used to fill the bridal bouquet and the bridesmaids bouquets.The centerpieces were in tall cylinder vases and filled with football mums, sunflowers, and peonies. Other vases were filled with lemons. An abundance of candles were placed on the table in mercury glass containers. The wedding took place at Honey Lake Plantation..
