The Goodwood House

Your church may be your first choice for your wedding day. However with the expanse of the large oak trees and rolling hills in Tallahassee there are so many great outdoor venues. How do you know which would be the best?  Each Week we will feature a new Wedding Venue some of Tallahassee's favorites.

Goodwood located under majestic oaks this venue has awesome southern charm. With several wedding sites across the grounds and and the beautiful carriage house for the reception.
For a little history: Goodwood Museum and Gardens was started in 1830's where the owners grew corn and cotton. The grounds at that time consisted of  2400 acres. The plantation suffered decline after the civil war and by 1880 there was only 160 acres, which became an elegant private residence.
Goodwood has now been restored to the turn-of-the-century country estate era.
