Wedding Flowers Gin Creek Plantation ~ Tallahassee Florist

It was a beautiful March wedding. We are always honored to be the wedding florist for our brides, to be a part of their special day. The cool air, the gentle breeze, the sun shining on the pond all adds up to a perfect wedding. The Venue was Gin Creek in Georgia, about one hour north of Tallahassee .

If you are looking for a wedding venue in Georgia, check out  Gin Creek! Sitting on 100 total acres, with DeMott Lake bordering a large 20 acre lake, and RoseMott Vineyards boarding a 5 acre pond, Gin Creek is absolutely beautiful and was featured in the August 2009 issue of 'Southern Living' magazine. With its green grass, majestic pines and stately oak trees, Gin Creek is truly, “An Unforgettable Southern Experience.”

You have to love these girls all I can say is "adorable"!

Mercury glass of all different sizes hanging on shepherd hooks with hydrangeas lined the aisle.
Each little flower girl carried a silver basket full of rose petals.

What a great idea to have guess throw the petals as you are walking down the aisle as husband and wife. The cones were hand made by the bride.

The brides bouquet: white and green hydrangea white roses and green buttons. We made rosettes of her grandmothers hanky for something old.

Thank you Whitney Fletcher Photography for the awesome pictures.

Locally Grown; Our Flower Farm | Farm to Florist | Tallahassee, Florida

We haven't really shared much about our cut flower farm but it is time for that to change! We are honored to be able to provide our customers with many locally grown flowers! The  owner of  A  Country  Rose ,   Annette started farming on an acre at her home in Wakulla County about eight years ago. She has since moved herself and her farm to a new location with more space for growth (pun intended). Annette  and her husband Ed are the ones who make all the magic  happen.  The most current tasks around  the  farm as of the last  couple  of weeks is a reworking of all the beds. They've been pulling up all the irrigation, laying new rows which includes 100's of tractor loads of compost and mulch then re-laying of black ground cover (to keep weeds at bay), white ground cover (to keep the black from burning the flowers) and then replacement of the irrigation.  It's a lot of work but the  results will be amazing and below is a sneak peek of what we are  harvesting  right now.
